Undiscussed edits of admin_level?

Hi, I've seen that you've modified wiki definition of Template:Admin_level for Croatia in [1], seemingly without discussion with Croatian community.

That has been discussed previously and use of admin_level=6 for Županije has been decided on. Please see and join https://community.openstreetmap.org/t/admin-level-u-hrvatskoj/120865 for details (and for leaving your feedback).

It also seems you've edited not only Croatia's admin_level=* on the map (i.e. changeset 158501004 which has now been reverted), but for many other countries too.

While your enthusiasm is welcomed, such changes should first be discussed with appropriate communities. Please do so if you haven't already, and implement appropriate fixes as per specific community wishes (or revert your changes failing to do so). Feel free to reach out to me if you need help with reverts or other topics, I'd be happy to help where I can. --mnalis (talk) 19:15, 29 October 2024 (UTC)

Perhaps I should discuss with the Croatian community (I'm Finnish myself), but why the subdivisions of Croatia were not put on a higher admin_level so that they can be seen on larger zooming levels also? Most other countries have their first-level administrative subdivisions at admin_level 4, so Croatia looks like an inferior oddity on the map of Europe. MIH (talk) 21:09, 29 October 2024 (UTC)
Perhaps you should discuss any major changes to all local communities before you make any changes. Especially when you seem to be very unfamiliar with the country and its system. It is just rude to make major changes to countries without discussing it first. (All your edits have been reverted, unless we missed any of them. Please don't do that anymore. Thank you!) -- grin 21:59, 30 October 2024 (UTC)
