OSM Carto rendering icons

Hi, I recognized your edits with icons for alleged OSM Carto rendering on Tag:tower:type=clock, Tag:historic=stećak and Tag:historic=stećak necropolis. As far as I can proof, these tags are not rendered with those icons for now. The parameter osmcarto-rendering= is only for the symbols (icons) actually used and displayed by the standard map tile layer OSM Carto. Thus it is not to provide icons of other map styles or to propose new icons. --Chris2map (talk) 18:59, 22 October 2023 (UTC)

I haven't changed anything yet. Thank you for your quick response! If you would correct it, I would be pleased. And yes, please don't use {{OSM Carto icon}} on the files, so they won't be categorized in Category:OSM Carto icons. Thanks!

Yes, of course, I will remove those, I had no idea, it seemed to me very convenient to get licence template and category in one with Carto, although it bothered me what Carto is anyway. So, thanks for the suggestion on icon proposal, I will use, than, TP of the corresponding tag pages. Hopefully it will catch someone's eye. Reverted revision 2608321 of Template:Highways

amenity=spa

But why is depreciated, it obviously is useful for tagging couple of map features: (1) "spa hotel"; (2) "spa resort" and even (3) "spa town" ? I mean, of course, I will remove it if really has to go but it is useful - I used it on several edits today.--Santasa (talk) 19:35, 22 November 2023 (UTC)

tomb=turbe

Hi, I noticed you added tomb=turbe for türbes on the tomb=* key page. I must admit I was not aware of these structures, but from what I read in wikipedia, it seems these can either be mausoleums, tombs or graves. From my understanding, historic=tomb is not suitable for graves, while "mausoleum" is already part of the established tomb tags. Maybe the fact that it is a "turbe" would better be tagged as a property (i.e. to define a subclass of mausoleums, tombs or other structures)? There is currently only 1 (one) use of the tag tomb=turbe (and another one for "türbe"), so it could be restructured without disruption if we do it soon. What do you think? G'day @Dieterdreist:, I agree with your suggestion. It is a kind of mausoleum with some unique architectural elements and characteristics, so sub-class of either mausoleum or tomb would be quite sufficient to present these structures as specific trait of Islamic burial culture.
