I think, that we just do not understand each others' ideas. I'd like to discuss the proposal at wiki discussion article. Ok? I'll try to explain every position in my proposal. As example, i have created relation because i didn't found more simple way for automatic routing (adjoint side and driving side issues). --Vovanium

Cool :) The ideal is an XML file containing rules like <rule key="blah" value="stuff">, but as long as all the keys/values are contained in one file, I should be able to parse it. I'll have a look in the source. If you want to save me some time, let me know the name(s) of the relevant file(s), otherwise I just do a grep for "amenity", "historic" etc. Stevage 23:29, 13 December 2009 (UTC)

Hmm, I had a quick look, and if I understand correctl (which I probably don't), it's using Osmarender for the graphics, while the routing rules are spread throughout a few java files. There may not be anything there worth rendering - was looking at TrafficRoutingRules.java (or something). If you have any ideas, let me know, I don't have much time to look atm. It has a number of renderers to choose from but if no map is installed it downloads tiles as a fallback. There is one class where most of the used tags are defined as constants.
