This tag is to be used on changesets the same way as source=* on objects and may be a future replacement to object level source tagging.
It indicates the source of the data that was added to OSM by a user or editor.
When using it, it is highly recommended that your edit should only contain data from that source.
It can be set in editors like the iD editor, JOSM, Vespucci, and Go Map!! when uploading (saving) data to OpenStreetMap.
