Import/Catalogue/NYS Addresses

An import of New York State address point data (potentially with building perimeter outlines) contributed by NYS GIS Services to OpenStreetMap.

Current Status

Initial discussions with NYS GIS staff are underway. Issues such as licensing and procedures are to be discussed. The models used for the Import/Catalogue/NYC_Buildings_Addresses import and the MassGIS_Buildings_Import are being studied.

Proposal

NYS GIS staff have expressed an interest in making their collection of statewide address point data available for import to OpenStreetMap. New York, New York data would not be included as it has already been imported from NYC DoiTT data.
