An abbreviated name is a shortened version of a name that is usually used informally. It can be a nickname, an acronym, or an initialism. Abbreviated names are often used as a way to make it easier to say or write a name that is long or difficult to pronounce. Abbreviated names can also be used as a way to create a unique identity or brand.

Examples
