The key changing_table=* allows specifying the availability of changing tables where parents can change the nappies of their babies. This key supersedes the now deprecated diaper=* key.

This key is a property that is used in combination with amenity=*, toilets=*, shop=*, indoor=* and other features.

Usage

Key Values Description
changing_table (Required) yes Changing table for changing the nappy of a child is available.
no Changing table for changing the nappy of a child is not available. You can ignore the whole key specification when this applies.
limited There is a facility available but isn't officially built to be used as changing table for the nappy of a baby.
changing_table:fee yes There's a fee for using it
no There's no fee for using it.
changing_table:count <number> The number of the available changing tables. The value we assume as default is 1
changing_table:location (Required) wheelchair_toilet Changing table is located in the toilet for wheelchair users.
female_toilet Changing table is located in the toilet for women.
male_toilet Changing table is located in the toilet for men.
unisex_toilet Changing table is located in the unisex toilet.
dedicated_room Changing table is in a dedicated room.
room Changing table is in a room that isn't mainly intended for changing nappies (e.g. multi purpose room or the hallway to the toilets).
sales_area Changing table is located right in the sales area.
<value list> When more than one values in this list apply, the values can be separated by a semicolon ( ; )

Comparison with the deprecated diaper=* key

A new tag was necessary because diaper=* wasn't well defined, is not self-explanatory and confused some on the mailing list.
