The key crossing:supervision=* specifies the monitoring type of railway crossings. Supervision if there are no vehicles/persons between the gates when the close.

Values

  • no for no supervision
  • camera for supervision by camera
  • attendant for supervision by level crossing attendant, dispatcher or guard
  • automatic for automatic supervision, e.g. radar scanner (Level_crossing#Safety on Wikipedia, Q1497793 Gefahrenraum-Freimeldeanlage on Wikipedia)
  • phone for on-demand crossings where crossing pedestrians or car drivers call the dispatcher by a mounted phone. The dispatcher listens by phone if the car/pedestrian has left the crossing in order to close the barriers.
