fdot:fihs is used to tag ways that are part of the Florida Intrastate Highway System (FIHS).

This system has been superseded by the Florida Strategic Intermodal System (SIS) (See: fdot:sis=*):

In the 2012 Legislative Session, HB 1399 and SB 1866 repealed the definition of Florida Intrastate Highway System (FIHS) and sunset the FIHS as a separate statewide highway network to simplify the planning process. Effective July 1, 2012, the FIHS is no longer a part of the State Highway System. Instead, the Strategic Intermodal System (SIS), established in 2003, will take its place.[1]
