The key railway:block_section=* is used on railways. This key is meant to identify the type of block section used on a railway line.
Railway lines can have different block section types, most popular are axle counters and track circuits but also manual block_sections can be found on minor railways.
In some countries block section type is strictly correlated with the train protection system but, in others the train protection system can work on different block section types, so the utility of this key is to specify the type of system employed in a certain railway line.
Key | Value | Comment |
