Describes the univocal code assigned to an Italian hiking route. It consists of 8 alphanumerics with the following meaning:

1 alphabetic character indicating the Italian region of the footpath (see table below to know which character is associated to which region)
B
2 alphabetic characters indicating the  Italian province code
C
1 alphanumeric character indicating the area
D
1 alphanumeric character indicating the sub-area
E
2 digits indicating the footpath reference number
F
1 alphanumeric character indicating the importance of the footpath. 0 is used for the main trail, a capital letter for connections and digits 1 to 9 for stages of a long path
