Long Beach Island is an island in New Jersey at latitude 39°38′23.28″ North, longitude 74°10′53.76″ West. The island is a popular summer colony and family resort destination. A beach straddles the 18-mile long barrier island. Much of this beach is public access with paid beach badges, while some parts are privately held.

All buildings in LBI have been mapped, although very few have addresses, except the retail buildings in Beach Haven. Someday, a statewide import of NJ open address data may happen.

Few businesses are mapped on the island. Only in Beach Haven are they mapped in detail. There are some in Ship Bottom, Surf City, and Barnegat Light.

The imported PGS coastline and land use on LBI has been completely fixed and improved. This was a long, manual process.
