NAICS

The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is the standard classification system for businesses in Canada, Mexico, and the United States. A new edition is published every five years. NAICS codes can be used to gauge OSM's completeness via the U.S. Census Bureau's 2017 Economic Census, as seen at Ohio/Statistics.
Correspondence tables
The tables below map NAICS codes to tags that are documented on this wiki (either formally on their own tag pages or informally as part of key pages). The "OSM tags" column is loosely based on the Overpass turbo wizard syntax. Note that some NAICS codes may map to more than one combination of OSM tags, and a set of OSM tags may correspond to multiple NAICS codes.
