Rationale
This project aims to improve OpenStreetMap's parking facility data across the United States and Canada(Primarily Focusing on New York City, Houston, and Boston) by adding and updating information about commercial parking structures. The data comes directly from parking operators and/or the company websites

- Project will pause after this announcement to incorporate community feedback

Editing started late December and is expected to end sometime in the following months when it can be guaranteed when all information is accurate and meets OSM Quality Standards

- Accuracy of facility locations
- Completeness of parking facility data
- Community feedback
Training/instructions
- Verify facility locations before editing
- Use standard OSM tags for parking facilities
- Follow local mapping conventions
- Use international phone number format (+1)
- Place nodes at correct entrance locations
- Maintain building geometry integrity
- The following is a list of tags I'm using since this information is easily verifiable: Access, City, House Number, Postcode, State, Street, Amenity, Email, Fee, Layer, Name, Opening Hours, Operator, Operator Type, Parking, Payment Methods, Phone, Website
