Proposal

This proposal aims to propose new tags to make the already existing and used tag line_attachment=* suitable by proposing accordingly tags for over head contact lines.

Rationale

For electric power lines the values to describe the attachment of the cables are defined. Further more need to be defined to cover the circumstances of over head contact lines.

Tagging

The tag is given to the node, where the over head contact line is supported. (It is planned from me to propose to map some types of attachment equipment like head-spans and portals as way between the involved catenary masts. In this case a node is created where over head contact line and structure are crossing.)

Tag for attachment of trolley-type over head contact lines

Key Value Description Photos
line_attachment singe-point the single-point attachment fixes the contact wire only by a clip directly mounted on a cross-span wire or cantilever support
pendant-type contact line is mounted with an offset via dropper wires to the cantilever and can freely swing
bridle-type contact wire ist mounted with a bridle wire and can freely move in longitudinal direction as it is mounted to a pulley sheave
elastic cantilevers that use rubber elements to be able elastic, contact wire is directly mounted to them
stitch like bridle-typ, but no pulley sheave is used; in some cases, the triangular stitch wire is this long that droppers are used Overhead line 011.JPG

Applies to
