A building or a complex of buildings where concerts, art expositions and parties take place.

In Germany those are usually run by non profit organisations and are (financially) supported by the local administration.

Discussion

There is already amenity=arts_centre which is more or less the same thing. Maybe the tag name could be changed to cultural_centre, since 'arts' is quite different to 'art' in English (one encompasses all cultural forms, the other is just fine art i.e. painting & drawing & sculpture). According to Wikipedia:Arts_centre, amenity=arts_centre matches this proposal, so i move it to " Canceled feature suggestions" Frank 23:41, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
