Proposal

A  loculus (plural: loculi) is an architectural compartment or niche that houses a body. tomb=loculi is used to tag the walls covered by loculi often found in cemeteries. It can be used on ways only, and the loculi are on the right side of the way direction.

Rationale

We have tomb=columbarium for buildings with loculi inside, but we miss something to tag the walls of loculi that are extremely common in cemeteries in Italy. See this discussion. In my experience loculi are always multiple; it does not make sense to have tomb=loculus as they are so small it’s not possible to tag them individually.

An alternative would be to allow tomb=columbarium on ways; there are very few examples of it.

Tagging

tomb=loculi should be used on ways only, and the loculi are on the right side of the way direction.
