Proposal talk:Golf:first cut
Further work and the term “Semi Rough”
In some parts of the world we call it the “semi rough”. Could be good to mention this.
I have now researched and added the term first cut with sources on the Golf Glossary page on Wikipedia. It is only defined as between the fairway and rough, not between the fairway and the green. That is instead the Fringe. Could you remove the "often it acts a ring around the fairway and green." on this proposal? @Thehairyhaggis I have created a new proposal: Proposal:Golf=fringe to map the ring around the green.
You could also include this link: [1]
Further work:
We should also provide more pictures for people before we go further to voting on this. Commons maybe have some we could use? Further work includes updating the page which describes a hole with fairway and rough on the English wikipedia to include first cut.
