A golf path is a route created specifically for those walking a golf course to access areas necessary for play. These paths are more common in 
Links_(golf) style golf.
Golfers are not typically required to use these routes and they may not connect to other golf paths or the main road network.
As with the other golf golf=* tags, this tag is intended specifically for mapping golf gameplay features. This tag may be added for paths that are not exclusively for golf gameplay provided the other usages are covered by the standard tags.
Other ways of mapping this features are highway=path or highway=footway with foot=designated
