St. John's is a City in Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada at latitude 47°34′01.20″ North, longitude 52°42′18.00″ West.
General Information
The City of St. John's is the capital of the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador and represents the largest portion of the population at over 130,000. St. John's is the most easterly point settlement in North America and is situated on the island portion of the Province. The city makes up the bulk of the North-Eastern Avalon Peninsula in terms of area and controls most of the local services, such as sewer and water resources.
Initial Data Import
Much of the initial data for the City was imported from the Natural Resources CANVEC database in several passes. Since then, several users have added to and corrected the information comprising the region. At current, there are no major efforts underway to map the City fully (such as land use and power lines).
