State of the Map 2020/volunteers

Do you want to participate at SotM 2020 as a volunteer? We need help in the following roles:
Infodesk
We will have a virtual infodesk during SotM. This will be
- SotM Telegram channel (add a #help tag for extra visibility)
- SotM Twitter (add a #help tag for extra visibility)
- IRC Channel
Channel details will follow shortly before the conference.
The infodesk volunteers have to read the chat. In case there are any questions, the infodesk volunteers would answer by their own. Or they would ask the organizers and share the answer publicly on the channel.
Session Host
Session hosts announce the speakers before the talks and lead the Questions & Answers (Q&A) sessions after the talks. Session hosts read the speaker's bio and talk description and say 2-3 sentences about before the talk starts. During the talk the session hosts observes the Q&A pad. After the talk the session hosts goes through the questions of the Q&A pad with the speaker in a video conference. The video conference will be streamed publicly.
They have to have a good internet connectivity and video conference equipment as a webcam etc.
We will make test sessions with the session hosts the days before SotM to ensure that the technical quality of the video conference.
Technical Assistant
The technical assistant helps the speaker and the session host with the video conference equipment. Before the talk starts the technical assistant ensures that the video conference equipment of the speaker and the session hosts works. It is necessary that the technical assistant has some experience with equipment as webcam etc. and also with software as Jitsi, OBS, etc.
Broadcasting
The broadcasting team does the streaming during the conference. Volunteers should have some basic experience with conference video systems.
