A volcano crater rim is a large cauldron-like hollow that forms shortly after the emptying of a magma chamber in a volcanic eruption.
For the volcano itself, add a node with natural=volcano.
How to map
Draw a closed way on the edge of the crater or a way if only one part is known, and add
- geological=volcanic_caldera_rim
- volcano:type=caldera - if it is a caldera
- natural=cliff - if there is a steep slope (note the direction of the way)
- natural=ridge - if an edge is more like a gentle hill
- natural=water - if the crater is full of water
