A milestone is a historic physical marker that shows the distance to the beginning or important destinations. They are usually made of stone, placed along a road. Milestones of abandoned railways can also have this tag.

Add a node and add historic=milestone.

• format:top=* – form of the top
• height=* – height
• inscription=* – what is written on the milestone
• moved=yes – if the milestone was moved from its original location
• start_date=* – date (year) on which the milestone was made and erected

Please do not tag name="milestone" just to get it rendered!
