The shelter=* tag is used to indicate the presence of an amenity=shelter associated with a feature, most commonly a public_transport=platform or highway=bus_stop.

Values

  • shelter=yes: A shelter exists, which may or may not be mapped separately.
  • shelter=no: A shelter is not present.
  • shelter=separate: A shelter exists, and is mapped separately.
Note that use of separate is significantly less common than yes.
