Pelota (from Latin pila) is a name for a variety of court sports played with a ball using one's hand, a racket, a wooden bat (pala), or a basket propulsor (txistera), against a wall or, more traditionally, with two teams face to face separated by a line on the ground or a net.
There are many regional variants of the game. In the Netherlands the Frisian variant of the game mostly played in the Northern province of Frisia (Fryslân) is known as kaatsen or keatsen. In France and Belgium a variant called balle pelotte or jeu de balle is played. Both are mapped under the pelota tag.
How to Map
Draw a closed area around the pelota court or just add a node at the centre.
Always add both the sport=pelota tag and one of the leisure tags shown below.
