Property
What about property boundaries?!
Also how about a whole w:cadaster of them? One might think 'they are only for grown ups'... but that's where OSM can outshine Google™! Jidanni (talk) 04:49, 29 April 2013 (UTC)

Roadside boundary signs
Let's say the File:NicholasCountySignWV.jpg sign is located 100 meters from where the dotted line on the map is. How would one mark the sign?
Let's also say instead normally the boundary File:NicholasCountySignWV.jpg represents is unmarked. But here the local chieftains have pitched in and erected a sign. How would one mark it in this case?
Also the sign might be one sided, or two sided, saying both entity A and B...
All one can find is Tag:historic=boundary_stone. Jidanni (talk) 03:17, 6 March 2016 (UTC)
Disputed
I've seen (e.g. in Western Sahara) the use of boundary=disputed
How should we treat these cases?
Boundary=region missing on the page
According to https://taginfo.openstreetmap.org/keys/boundary#values it is used 338 times. If it is not the prefered way to tag a region (maybe place=region or boundary_type=region is) then I propose it is marked as deprecated and perhaps mentioned as such. See also https://taginfo.openstreetmap.org/tags/boundary_type=region which is used 28 times and the discussion boundary_type.--PangoSE (talk) 11:55, 27 August 2018 (UTC)
Different colors for different suburbs
What the OSM website lacks is a political areas layer.
Currently in metropolitan areas it would be great if Nibblesford Falls was in green, and Norfsberg Heights was in pink, etc.
That way one could tell at a glance exactly with suburb one was in, without having to examine very closely the boundaries themselves. w:Four color theorem
