• Tagging. Just to reiterate the point I made on the diary entry: it is much better to use wood=coniferous or broadleaved or mixed than trees=coniferous or broadleaved or mixed, just because the former is already MUCH MORE widely used. • Landuse Overlap. Looking for clashes with natural=* and landuse=forest might not be adequate. For instance Aliseda shows an overlap between previously mapped residential areas and CLC olive groves. SK53 19:29, 6 January 2011 (UTC)

• Data Accuracy. An 'orchard' of chestnut trees close to the Ermita de Humillidero is shown as an olive grove. I don't know if this is a reflection of how CLC was compiled or just poor quality data. SK53 19:29, 6 January 2011 (UTC)

• Landuse Buffer. there seem to be some rounded buffer around previous landuses (to avoid clash?? ) eg. around node 617231593 --Sergionaranja 18:20, 7 January 2011 (UTC)

• Corine ID. (to do) keep Corine ID in all polygons. --Sergionaranja 09:14, 8 January 2011 (UTC)
  • why is Corine ID useful? in each CORINE update, there are new polygons and there are polygons which disappear. They are not useful, the only way to manage is by using geometric differences (no ID needed). In fact the French community believes that there will be no CORINE updates, so ID will not be used.

  • CORINE says "broad-leaved", not "deciduous". Who says they mean the same? why?

key:wood is deprecated

The key wood=* is deprecated. Please consider to use the approved key leaf_type=broadleaved/needleleaved/mixed instead of "wood=deciduous/coniferous/mixed".

There are also some undocumented tags: trees=coniferous/broad-leaved/mixed
