Would it help to give the examples a more uniform style?

- Honest answer? I don't think it would be worth the considerable effort. This page isn't a particularly prominent one – it was created by one user in 2012 and not much activity has occurred since. Given that its purpose is mostly brainstorming for possible use cases, it also has an almost entirely OSM-internal audience (rather than being public-facing), which further reduces the potential impact from making it prettier. And unlike in 2012, actual OSM-based indoor maps are starting to appear (e.g. OpenLevelUp), which are probably more effective at advertising the potential of indoor mapping than a wiki page could be. It's up to you, of course, and improvements are always welcome! Pragmatically, though, it's likely too much work for little gain.
- If you are looking for places to contribute with Inkscape skills, by the way, I imagine quite a few style maintainers will be happy about icons – you might want to contact them if that sounds fun to you. (Similarly, I'm always happy about people who contribute textures for 3d rendering!). Over at Wikimedia Commons, the "images that should use vector graphics" category always has a lot of tasks for vector graphics artists, too. --Tordanik 18:29, 7 January 2019 (UTC)
Could each use case be linked to the actual OSM entry?
I was wondering how to map the indoor paths of a school, and this page is prominent in google search results. I hoped to see an example showing the different nodes and ways and tags, so I could copy some idiomatic style for the place I'm mapping without needing to research every tag to see the usage dos and don'ts. The mapping details are pretty scarce on this page... Each of the examples are real world places -- assuming they are mapped correctly in OSM (maybe that should be validated by somebody familiar with what's idiomatic), the page could link into various OSM locations? It would be nice to also show a preview of the OSM map data, but I don't know if that's possible. CarlWalsh (talk) 20:09, 20 December 2022 (UTC)
- This page seems to be a "brainstorming" exercise that predates most indoor mapping in OSM. I expect most(?) of the images are not actually using OSM data, so a link wouldn't let you find mapping examples. :(
- There are some mapping examples linked at Simple Indoor Tagging#Tagging examples, maybe you find those helpful. (Note that they're not really reviewed for correctness, though, so use some caution.) --Tordanik 15:02, 22 December 2022 (UTC)
