Political boundaries ≠ election district boundaries, at least in English
A political boundary is an imaginary line separating one political unit, such as a country or state, from another.

Therefore perhaps call election district boundaries a different name, perhaps with the word "election" in it. Jidanni (talk) 02:54, 13 March 2023 (UTC)
- The vast majority of boundary=political areas in OpenStreetMap are election district boundaries (there are some exceptions, hence "political/electoral" in the introduction instead of just "electoral"). For "political unit, such as a country or state", boundary=administrative is used. --JeroenvanderGun (talk) 20:11, 13 March 2023 (UTC)
