The architecture is more of a 
Big-box store "hyperstore, supercenter, superstore, or megastore". It can be a shop=wholesale, shop=department_store, shop=furniture (Ikea), shop=doityourself (Home Depot), shop=books (Barnes & Nobles), shop=electronics (Best Buy) etc; not limited to shop=supermarket as building=supermarket suggests.
