Why call this "non-clinical"?
The current definition says this is a "non-clinical" birthing center operated by midwives. What is the meaning of "non-clinical?" Perhaps "non-hospital" would be better? Also, are you sure that this tag is not used for birthing centres operated by physicians? In the United States many have physicians in addition to midwives, and I notice that the American spelling is used ("center" instead of "centre"). --Jeisenbe (talk) 11:11, 26 January 2020 (UTC)
- Sorry I have the text from healthcare=*. You can add to or change it.
- If you want to change healthcare=birthing_center to healthcare=birthing_centre you should change all previous tags in a mass edit. --geozeisig (talk) 07:35, 27 January 2020 (UTC)
I have updated the description to "An outpatient birthing center operated primarily by midwives, where pregnant mothers in labor can deliver their babies" which appears to match existing usage and the usual definition in most countries. --Jeisenbe (talk) 19:19, 19 June 2020 (UTC)
