Too temporary to map?

While it would be nice to have a reliable map of dangerous crevasses on glaciers, I believe the position and shape of crevasses change too quickly for them to be usefully mapped in OSM. --Jeisenbe (talk) 12:46, 10 August 2019 (UTC)

Crevasses do not in general change faster than other highly dynamic features like tidal flats, sandbars in rivers etc. The locations at which crevasses form on a glacier are usually fairly constant over long times meaning crevasse mapping can be useful even when after some time the individual crevasse locations have changed completely.--Imagico (talk) 15:21, 10 August 2019 (UTC)
