Usage

An infobox to give full information (date, source, author, etc.) about files uploaded to the OSM Wiki.

Syntax

Parameters

Information box on file pages to provide description, date, source, author, permission, other versions

Template parameters

This template prefers block formatting of parameters.

description	description	short description of media file and file content	String	suggested
date	date	creation date of media file Example 2022-04-13 or April 13, 2022	String	suggested
source	source	source(s) of the media file Example link or URL of source file or {{own}} for own work	String	suggested
author	author	attribution and credit to the author(s) of the media file Example author's name and link to author's user page or external homepage	String	suggested
permission	permission	permission under which media file is used and published	String	suggested
other_versions	other_versions	link to other version of the media file (if available)	String	suggested
