Smooth surface in good condition. Default on paved surfaces (asphalt, concrete, paving_stones).
Surface not perfectly level, no obstacles of note on the ground, no need to lift legs. Can get narrow.
Obstacles on the ground conveniently avoided or easily stepped over, yet have to be looked out for to prevent tripping.
Rough ground all over, need to lift legs high, placing feet on uneven or overgrown surface wants skill and care.
Roughness and unevenness of the terrain additionally call for casual use of hands on rock, on vegetation, etc. to aid balance or clear passage.
Not traversable in a manner usually called walking; called crawling, scrambling, climbing, wading/swimming (through deep mud), struggling (through vegetation), &c.
Gehen

nicht begehbar
Glatte Oberfläche in gutem Zustand.

O1A - Unpaved but smooth surface
O2A - A faint track on soft, boggy ground that gives a little as you walk
O3A - While none of the rocks are particularly high, it’s an uneven and somewhat unstable surface throughout.
O4A - Grade 1 scramble, Càrn Mòr Dearg arête

AF1D - A dirt path that has been graded and is quite smooth.
AF1D - A wood-chip covered path with a very even surface
AF1E - Slightly broken surface, but probably not enough to really require much attention.
AF2A - Grassy path has slight lumps and soft spots though it is mostly smooth. Borderline with casual_walking.
AF2B - Dirt path with a few roots that present tripping hazards.
AF2C - sandy path that has some small ruts that could require basic attention.
AF2D - many roots present tripping hazards.
AF2H - quite even path with only small ruts, so not difficult walking. Very exposed and airy though with long fall potential if one were to step over the edge.
AF3A - Long Trail - this trail steeper than it looks and the flat stones make partial steps onto looser material.
AF4C - Long Trail - This and AF4D are the same location, looking in opposite directions.
AF4D - Long Trail - This and AF4C are the same location, looking in opposite directions.
AF5A - Steep and muddy, must use roots to scramble up.
AF5B - Long Trail - This and AF5C are the same location, looking in opposite directions.
AF5C - Long Trail - This and AF5B are the same location, looking in opposite directions.

- H4A - I am certain I can walk there hands-free, yet I am perhaps not the canonical person? --Hungerburg (talk) 12:06, 15 December 2023 (UTC)
- H4B - A minute before this shot I walked there hands-free, But ever so often I use hands there, is makes passing so much more convenient and quick. --Hungerburg (talk) 16:05, 23 December 2023 (UTC)
