<Hoe en waar OpenStreetMap gebruikt wordt zonder naamsvermelding>. Dit is altijd leuk om te zien voor ons OpenStreetMap-vrijwilligers, maar we zien ook graag de correcte (en verplichte) naamsvermelding daarbij.
Kwalitatieve geodata voor de hele wereld maken is onbetaalbaar veel werk, een werk dat ook nooit af is aangezien de wereld steeds verandert. De meeste kartering bij OpenStreetMap wordt uit passie gedaan door vrijwilligers. Onze geodata worden gratis en onder een vrije licentie ter beschikking gesteld aan iedereen om kaarten mee te maken, analyses uit te voeren of wat u maar kan bedenken.
De licentie waaronder dit alles gebeurt, vereist (onder andere) wel naamsvermelding, omdat we trots zijn op ons werk, omdat dit voor ons een bron van naamsbekendheid is om vrijwilligers en datagebruikers aan te trekken, en omdat OpenStreetMap zelf ook verplichtingen heeft tegenover bronnen waaruit we data hebben overgenomen.
Voor webpagina's kan de naamsvermelding bijvoorbeeld bestaan uit de tekst "Basiskaart: OpenStreetMap" waarbij OpenStreetMap een hyperlink moet zijn naar [1]. Meer informatie is te vinden op [2]. Naar de volledige licentietekst, de Open Database-licentie, wordt gelinkt vanaf [1].

<How and where OpenStreetMap is used without attribution>. This is always nice to see for us OpenStreetMap volunteers, but we also like to see correct (and mandatory) attribution for that.
Creating quality geodata for the whole world is priceless work, work that is never finished as the world is always changing. Most of the mapping at OpenStreetMap is done out of passion by volunteers. Our geodata is made available to anyone free of charge and under a free licence to create maps, perform analysis or whatever they can think of.
The licence for all of this does require (among other things) attribution, because we are proud of our work, because this is a source of name recognition for us to attract volunteers and data users, and because OpenStreetMap itself has obligations to sources from which we have licensed data.
For web pages, the attribution could, for instance, consist of the text "Base map: OpenStreetMap", where OpenStreetMap must hyperlink to [1]. More information can be found at [2]. The full licence text, the Open Database licence, is linked to at [1].

All of the above relates to the licence under which our map data is available, and which thus also applies to any map derived from it. Additionally, the particular web service you are currently linking tiles from, runs on donations, and has its own usage policy which can be found at [3].
