Introduction
You may saw some of my changesets with the hashtag #ottwiz-mapping-wv. What is this about? Maybe you know my User:Ottwiz/ottwiz-mapping-50-states project, this will be very similar to that, I want to map this, because I want to make the landcover of West Virginia better. For further explanation why I do this, see Marshall County,_West Virginia page.
So, what am I actually planning to do? Map all the 55 counties of West Virginia.
What things am I going to map? Mostly wooded areas(so forests), water features (ponds, lakes, reservoirs, sometimes creeks and rivers), masts, sometimes power lines. I occasionally align roads but that is not the main focus of this project.
How am I realizing this? Initially I mapped the counties randomly but then I switched to map them completely, so I'm mapping first around the state border and after that move into the inner counties. I may also map the counties around WV, probably when the project is finished.
