VIA Rail (reporting mark: VIA) is a Crown corporation that operates the national railway network of intercity train services across Canada since 1978. As of 2024, VIA Rail has 19 routes serving over 378 destinations across Canada. While it owns its own rolling stock and many of its stations, it does not own trackage, with most of VIA Rail's trains using tracks owned by Canadian National Railway (CN) and other operators such as Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CPKC), Hudson Bay Railway and Metrolinx.
