Taiwan Open Street Map welcomes novices to join the ranks of drawing. At present, the more active community platform (2015) is the Facebook community. If you have any difficult and miscellaneous problems with drawing, you are welcome to ask. Because the Taiwan OpenStreetMap Facebook community applies as a "community", you must log in before you can watch the content. Users who do not have a Facebook account can use the email forum to ask questions or discuss. Hackpad is updated frequently, mostly for thematic data collection or pitting text.

國土測繪圖資服務雲的通用版電子地圖（NLSC）只可使用低解析度且獨立伺服器的 Open Data 版本。該版本已整合於臺灣的iD編輯器。高解析度版本（http://maps.nlsc.gov.tw/S_Maps/wmts?FORMAT=image/png&LAYER=EMAP&REQUEST=GetTile&SERVICE=WMTS&STYLE=_null&TILECOL={x}&TILEMATRIX=EPSG:3857:{z}&TILEMATRIXSET=EPSG:3857&TILEROW={y}&VERSION=1.0.0）著作權與 OpenStreetMap 不相容，嚴禁使用，並於2025年起嚴格取締：使用未符合 OpenStreetMap 授權的底圖描繪，將會直接回退，累犯將送至Data Working Group處理。

The National Land Surveying and Mapping Center (NLSC) layer can only use the Open Data version, which contains low resolution data on an independent server. The Open Data version is integrated into the iD editor. The copyright of high resolution version (http://maps.nlsc.gov.tw/S_Maps/wmts?FORMAT=image/png&LAYER=EMAP&REQUEST=GetTile&SERVICE=WMTS&STYLE=_null&TILECOL={x}&TILEMATRIX=EPSG:3857:{z}&TILEMATRIXSET=EPSG:3857&TILEROW={y}&VERSION=1.0.0) is incompatible with OpenStreetMap and therefore strictly prohibited. The community decided to ban using unauthorised layers from January 2025: Any mapping using them will revert; repeat offenders will be banned by the Data Working Group.

台灣華語翻譯 Localized Chinese translation

OSM（OpenStreetMap）在台灣社群的共識譯名為「開放街圖」，但因縮寫OSM簡單好輸入，仍有多人社群交流時使用英文縮寫。參與貢獻地圖圖資（畫地圖）的人，自稱為圖客（Mapper）。

在地化是使初學者入門、方便圖客找資料、增加推廣成功率、吸引更多人加入OSM的重要手段。OSM周邊的輔助性應用程式及網頁教學非常發達，但大多為英文介面，希望大家可以針對已熟悉的領域，幫忙翻譯。

  現在中文 wiki 頁面散於各地，而且這些頁面內的資訊內容未必適合台灣本地的地理資訊。

  這讓許多第一次接觸 OSM 的人沒有辦法順利的找到他所需的資訊，所以有必要整理現有 wiki 頁面。
