Cape Town mapping party - September 2008

We're running a Cape Town Mapping Party on Sunday 28 September, pre-FOSS4G2008. If anyone who knows the area wants to help, please get stuck in!
Logistics
There's lots of us heading to Cape Town from around the world for FOSS4G, so you'll not be alone if you're based around the convention centre without your own transport! Expect things to firm up over the next day or two as we start arriving and sorting things out.
User:Mikel will be bringing some GPS unit for loaning out. If you have your own, or a camera or cameraphone, bring them!
Where?
We'll be mapping in Hout Bay (wikipedia) - it's 20km south of Cape Town.
We'll be meeting at the tourism information office in Beach Crescent. There is a coffee shop and internet cafe. The owner (Tobi) is flexible on her normal opening hours (9am - 5pm). For those not routing with the aid of GPS the following directions may help: Take Main Road into Hout Bay from Constantia and turn right immediately after the Caltex filling station into Promenade. Then take the first left into Beach Crescent and you will find the building sign posted "Tobi" opposite the First National Bank. Tobi's phone number is 021 790 1194.
There's a group of us who will be heading down from the FOSS4G convention centre area - transport details to be confirmed. Keep an eye on this wiki page! Or send email to mikel_maron at yahoo dot com and I'll email as well (your phone number won't hurt either).
