Status: de facto

This de facto key is for the portion of the feature's address that indicates the name of the corner street and should always accompany an addr:street=* tag, which indicates the name of the primary street of an address. The corner street is often used to indicate that the feature is located adjacent to a secondary street that intersects the primary street. This address scheme is primarily used in certain countries, such as the Philippines. For both street names, you should generally spell out abbreviations in full.

Typically, the corner street name in the address matches the name=* of the nearby street (highway=residential etc.). Note also that the corner street name is considered part of the primary address (as a modifier to the main street) and is not considered a second address that would have been tagged with addr2:street=* and addr2:housenumber=*.
