The mascot:iconography=* tag is used to clarify the type of iconography that is associated with a feature's mascot.
This serves as a way of disambiguating broad or easily misinterpreted mascot=* values.
Values
This key follows the same value practices as the mascot=* key.
How to tag
Add the mascot:iconography=* tag with the appropriate value to the node,
area, or
relation for a feature.
Because mascot:iconography=* is equal by default to mascot=* if unspecified, this tag is unnecessary if the value would be the same as mascot=*.
Examples
A university using the Raiders nickname and represented by iconography of Wolves:
- amenity=university
- name=Wright State University
- mascot=Raiders
- mascot:iconography=Wolves
A school which represents itself as Warriors and uses Knights iconography:
- amenity=school
- name=Edmonds-Woodway High School
- mascot=Warriors
- mascot:iconography=Knights
