taginfo: *:source |
This page describes a key suffix rather than a simple key.
This key suffix indicates the source used to determine a specific attribute of the feature. Use this key in addition to source=* when the feature overall was mapped according to one source but some tag follows a different or more specific source.
OpenHistoricalMap uses *:source=* as a suffix, contrary to OpenStreetMap's use of source:*=* as a prefix.
Examples
- OpenHistoricalMap/Tags/Key/geometry:source – the source used to determine the feature's geometry
- OpenHistoricalMap/Tags/Key/name:source – the source used to determine the feature's name
Software support
OHM's fork of iD displays an toggle button in the upper-right corner of each field; clicking it reveals a textbox for setting this key to freeform text. [1]
On the main website, the element inspector displays start_date:source=*, start_date:source:name=*, end_date:source=*, end_date:source:name=*, and image:source=* at the top of the left sidebar. [2]
