Introductory talk on geocaching event:

OpenStreetMap je mapový projekt, který nabízí zdarma mapy tak jako Wikipedia nabízí encyklopedii. Tedy kdokoliv tam může přispívat z určitých zdrojů (volné ortofoto, GPS stopa..) a odměnou mu je neomezené použítí mapových dat - třeba speciální mapy pro pěší/kolo/mtb. Exporty celkého světa do Garmina, TrekBuddyho.

Mapa pochází z projektu OpenStreetMap.org, jehož cílem je tvorba volně dostupných mapových dat. Je to vlastně mapová Wikipedie. Pomoci s tvorbou můžete i vy, stačí jen dobře znát nějaké místo (a zanést do mapy třeba chybějící názvy ulic) nebo vlastni GPSku (a přidat třeba projité turistické trasy). Všechno potřebné naleznete i česky na adrese wiki.osm.org
