Surface of parking

I'm just asking on whether it makes sense to be explicit and also mention a potential use parking:side:surface or parking:side:colour when the surface of marked parkings is different. --ManuelB701 (talk) 20:19, 14 July 2024 (UTC)

Why limit it to markings for (car) parking?

I like this proposal (maybe it could be continued) ... I would suggest expanding the text of the proposal to include other cases where there may be markings on the road etc. (and where one could simply use the key markings=*). Or at least add a paragraph of text that it can also be used for other cases (with or without prefixes).

Some examples are (without claim to completeness):

• amenity=bicycle_parking
• amenity=bicycle_rental (bicycle_rental=dropoff_point)
• amenity=motorcycle_parking
• amenity=mobility_hub (Proposal:Mobility hubs / in use).
