Switch2osm
switch2osm is a new website at:
and Twitter hashtag:
to promote the idea of switching to OpenStreetMap, particularly among web developers. For various reasons, more and more websites are starting to use OpenStreetMap as their map source. This website makes it easier to switch away from boring old Google Maps and over to OpenStreetMap, and also (along with the Twitter hashtag) catalogues some examples of websites making the switch.
Content and development
The website was largely created by User:Richard with help from the Communication Working Group and wider community. Contact CWG if you'd like to be involved in its development. The content is sourced from the github repository: https://github.com/switch2osm/switch2osm.github.io.
The site is hosted by the Foundation. (role on ridley as of May 2017)
