Vice Counties of Britain and Ireland

Vice counties in Britain and Ireland are subdivisions of Great Britain and Ireland used largely for the purposes of biological recording and other scientific data-gathering.

Vice Counties should be mapped using a boundary relation. The relation should be tagged with

type=boundary
boundary=vice_county
name=*

and

ref=*.

No administrative level should be specified on either the relation or its member ways, although if the way has no other tags it can be tagged with boundary=vice_county - although if the relation is correct this isn't strictly necessary.
