This tag is for indicating that a map feature such as a cafe, shop, restaurant, etc. offers internet access to the public, either as a paid service or for free. It is used when the specific type of internet access, such as WLAN (Wi-Fi) or wired (Ethernet), is not known.
As an example, a campsite that offers internet access should be tagged primarily as tourism=camp_site and additionally internet_access=yes.
See internet_access=* for more information.
Consider using a more specific value such as:
- internet_access=wlan - for wireless internet access (e.g. Wi-Fi)
- internet_access=wired - for wired internet access (e.g. Ethernet)
- internet_access=terminal - for availability of a computer with internet access
How to map
- Add internet_access=yes to a feature such as an internet cafe, shop, restaurant, library, campsite, hotel or other location that offers public internet access.
Additional tags
- Add the tag internet_access:fee=yes/no/customers if it is know whether payment or purchase is required.
- internet_access:operator=* may be added to specify the network operator of the internet service
