The tag natural=landform has been created for the CanVec import to be used for elements classified as landform in that data set containing various geological forms as well as landcover types. Most of these are generally represented by other tags in OpenStreetMap, therefore you should consider these alternative taggings:
- Eskers (natural=landform + landform=esker) could also be represented by natural=ridge and/or geological=esker
- Areas of bare undifferentiated glacial debris (natural=landform + landform=glacial_debris) could be tagged natural=till, natural=sand, natural=bare_rock or natural=scree
- Moraines (natural=landform + landform=moraine) are normally tagged geological=moraine
- Sand areas use natural=sand or natural=dune or natural=beach + surface=sand depending on their form and location.
- Beaches (natural=landform + landform=beach) are tagged natural=beach
- Raised beaches would most appropriately be tagged geological=raised_beach
- Tundra (natural=landform + landform=tundra_polygon) is tagged natural=tundra or natural=fell WARNING: please do not clear landform=tundra_polygon tag; it is not a 'geometry polygon' in terms of GIS and CAD systems, but real land form in permafrost; see Mapbox satellite imagery https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/146425519
- Pingos (natural=landform + landform=pingo) and other permafrost forms currently have no established tagging
