Key:cycleway:surface

This tag allows to specify a surface of just cycleway. It is useful for highway=* tagged with cycleway=* where just surface=* is not sufficient. It is also useful for merged footway with cycleway with different surfaces tagged as one way - for example:

• highway=path
• segregated=yes
• foot=designated
• bicycle=designated
• surface=paved
• cycleway:surface=asphalt
• footway:surface=paving_stones

Object that may be tagged as two separate highway=footway and highway=cycleway, each with its own surface=* or as one way that requires cycleway:surface=asphalt for specifying surface

On roads with multiple cycleways, the variants cycleway:left:surface=*, cycleway:right:surface=*, and cycleway:both:surface=* are often useful.
