An outlet sock, also known as an end of pipe net is a type of gross pollutant trap, designed to prevent waste flowing downstream into rivers or oceans. The outlet sock is a flexible net installed on ducts' outlet which catches incoming solid matters while allowing fluids to flow through. The sock is then periodicly emptied.

It can be combined with man_made=outfall sometimes.
